The ACT Community is an online environment that enables Application Compatibility Toolkit (ACT) users to join and then anonymously share issue and solution data with other registered ACT users. Additionally, once you join, you can view overall statistics for specific applications, as provided by other community members.
Benefits of the ACT Community
The ACT Community enables you to:
-
Share compatibility data (including issues, severity rankings, priority rankings, and solutions) with other registered ACT users.
-
Receive the most complete issue and solution data from both authoritative and user data sources. Only ACT Community members can view how other registered ACT users ranked these applications.
Common Scenarios
The following sections describe common ACT Community scenarios.
Sharing Issues and Solutions with Other Users
The ACT Community enables you to join and to download compatibility issue data from other registered users. This data includes severity ranking, priority ranking, and solutions. At the same time, your compatibility data is uploaded for other registered ACT users to view.
Viewing User Data
The ACT Community enables you to view how other registered ACT users ranked specific software. This can be done from the Community Assessment column of the Analyze screen of the Application Compatibility Manager. Only ACT Community members can view this data.
